Privacy

Your data stays yours.

  • Your weight entries, goal and settings are stored on your device.

  • If you allow it, entries are written to Apple Health on your device. OpenScale only writes and updates its own entries.

Contact support
Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes. Turn on Apple Health in Settings and every entry is written to Health, then updated or removed there when you edit or delete it.

Can I bring my existing data?

Yes. Import a CSV file from another app, and export yours whenever you like.

Why weekly averages?

Daily weight moves with water and food. Weekly averages show the real trend, so a single heavy morning doesn't throw you off.

Is my weight shared with anyone?

No. Entries stay on your device, in Apple Health if you allow it, and in your private iCloud if you turn on sync.
